Microstructures and Microscopy

The main research focus of the Aindow group is microstructural development in engineering materials. We utilize a wide variety of advanced characterization techniques, with particular emphasis on electron microscopy. The types of materials investigated include: aerospace alloys, catalytic nano-materials, conducting oxides and nano-composite coatings. Most of this work is based upon collaborations with academic or industrial partners who specialize in materials synthesis and processing. Information about the group, research activities and publications can be found in the pages linked above.
